Wednesday morning after Labor Day weekend I woke after 4 hours sleep, made final preparations and drove to Bremer's apartment in East Walnut Hills. From there we drove to Fairfield for his physical examination for his new job. After Bremer gave his blood/urine/etc we left Cincinnati for Boston with an intermediary stop in Albany to have dinner with Bremer's in-laws. We spent the night in a hotel outside Boston and found Frank's apartment Thursday afternoon. While Frank was at work, Bremer and I took a complimentary tour of the Samuel Adams brewery. Afterwards we drove through Cambridge and were headed north to the coast, when Frank called and we decided to meet him earlier than expected. After finding Frank and his roommate, we all went to dinner at the Sunset Bar, which is known for having over 100 different beers on tap. I had some chicken and tried a thick, stout beer. When Frank had finally consumed enough refreshments, we made our way to the T and rode back to the JFK/U. Mass station near Frank's apartment.
Somehow Frank woke hours before us and made his way to work. Bremer and I slept late and decided to spend the day exploring the city via the T. We each bought a day pass and headed for Government Center, where several of the subway lines cross. From there we rode to Revere Beach and walked along the beach past Wonderland station. Reentering the T we returned to Government Center, walked around the public buildings and meandered through several blocks of downtown before arriving at Boston Common. Next we emerged at Harvard Square, where we explored Harvard's campus and chatted with a few locals. Bremer was anxious to walk along the Charles River and we ventured across the water to see Harvard's Business College paying special attention to the library. From Harvard Square we progressed to MIT, as I wanted to see the completed Gehry buildings of the Stata Center. We walked around the MIT campus, crossed the Charles into Back Bay and walked east on Boylston to the Common.
From the comfort of a bench Bremer and I watched a bridal party pose for their wedding photos in the Common.Bremer and I arrived first at the North Station, and Danni found us shortly afterward. Frank was late and told us to walk north to the restaurant. We wasted time until Frank's arrival by inadvertently walking south, until Bremer admitted he was lost, and Danni found a map. After that fiasco, we found the Italian restaurant Frank had frequented several times before and enjoyed dinner. Frank continued his tirade to a local bakery and then pointed out the Old North Church, where Robert Newman, Church sexton, lit Paul Revere's famous lanterns. Finally, we made our way back to the subway station where we departed company.
Bremer, Frank and I returned to the apartment in South Boston, packed the car, slept and began the long drive home. We drove through Newport, Rhode Island to see the big estates, watch the sailboats and eat Dunkin' Doughnuts. Many, many hours later I finally found myself asleep in my own bed.

Yeah, that about sums it up.
Perhaps I should make bull-friendly article summaries...?
